所谓GRE填空短题,其实就是一些在GRE填空中题干非常简短,往往只有不到一行的题目。这种题目看似好做,其实对于词汇掌握还没到家又缺乏细节分析能力的考生来说,反而是最难的。因为填空哪怕只靠看词汇选项进行选择,还是少不了要结合题目本身做出判断,而判断依据的就是题干中给出的各种线索。如果说双空三空大家要从一大堆真真假假的线索中找到正确答案,那么短题就是在各种缺乏线索的情况下解题了,两者相较就能发现短题的难度绝不在长题之下。

小编之所以说GRE填空短题难度更高,主要有以下两个原因:

1. 词汇问题

首先是词汇问题,大部分GRE填空中,考生即使词汇掌握不到家,一个空格五个选项中有1-2个不认识,也可以依靠题目给出的各类线索,比如句子结构关系,特定提示词汇,其它关联选项等等绕开生词找到正确答案。但在短题中,这类线索统统不存在,考生万网只能靠着过硬的词汇功底来正面解答,没有任何取巧的方法余地。这就让词汇功底不过关的考生觉得很为难了。

2. 细节问题

如果说题干太长的GRE填空题属于信息过量类题目,考生需要做的就是从大量线索中找到解题需要的那个部分。而与这些动辄3-4行,篇幅接近短篇阅读的长题想比,短题就好比信息严重不足的题目了。考生要把解题思路从选择线索转换为挖掘线索,对于习惯了前一种解题方式的考生来说可能会非常不适应。假如在考试中就容易导致思路转不过来无法顺利解答。
