雅思口语话题Part2范文:something you’ve always wanted to do but have not done yet

You should say:

What it is about

Why you plan to do it

What is the easy part and difficult part of it

Why you have not done yet

参考范文:

I have always wanted to buy a flat near a lake and open space. My father has his own home where I used to live until I had to move to a new city for my job. Currently. I am living in a rented house in the metropolitan city for my job and yet I have a great desire to own a house of my own that would be a large house with lots of rooms and which would be near a lake or river.

I have wanted to buy this house most probably after I moved to the new city where I am currently residing. I wanted a house of my own where I would have my family members and that would give me freedom of living. The house would be near open space and close to nature. It is almost impossible to have such a house in the metropolitan city I am currently living in. I have the plan to return to my hometown, buy this house and then start a business of my own.

I will have the house decorated and arranged in the way I have always wanted. I will have my family members to move to this house. I will keep an open space in front of this house and I will grow many plants and flowers in this open space.

雅思口语话题Part2范文:因广告而购买(sth you bought because you watched its advertisement)

You should say:

What did this advertising promote?

Where did you see this?

What was the content of it?

Why do you think it is impressive?

1.适用人群:全适用

2.主题:运动跑鞋

3.故事线:在网上看到一则广告,专门为一双跑鞋做广告。这张照片引起了我的注意,因为这双鞋看起来和普通跑鞋很不一样

About a couple of months ago I saw an advertisement on the internet for a special pair of running shoes. It was the picture that caught my attention first because the shoes looked very different from normal running shoes. They were designed like a pair of gloves for your feet, if you know what I mean.

They were made from a special 'breathable' material and had a synthetic sole grafted onto the body so that they fitted like a glove on your foot, but the bottom was quite similar to a normal running shoe so that it gripped well and provided protection for your feet.

Unlike a normal running shoe each toe was separate. It was really strange to see something like that because I had just been wondering a few weeks earlier why someone hadn't invented a running shoe like this before - and then a couple of weeks later by pure coincidence I came across them on the internet. I wasn't even looking for them or anything.

Anyway, the ad was basically a 360 degrees color photo of the shoes, showing them from all angles and some technical and product information about them. There was also a video that was maybe 3 or 4 minutes long and showed a runner going up a rocky hill and the video explained how these running shoes allowed the runner to 'feel' more of the ground underneath his feet and grip better because of the flexing motion of the bottom of the shoes.

It was more an informative ad than anything arty or creative, but it made me want to buy the shoes because I hadn't seen them before and I wanted to try them, so I ordered a pair in my size and they arrived a couple of days later. I've tried them out a couple of times so far and they seem really good. They cost me just a little bit more than some of the normal running shoes, but I think they're worth the extra money. The running experience is quite different from normal and personally I prefer it.

参考范文:

After I finished my graduation, I applied for 2-3 jobs and faced the interviews in these companies. One day I got a phone call from one of the companies from the HR department and the caller confirmed that I was hired for the job I applied for. This was a very exciting and good news for me as I was expecting to start a job so eagerly.

I did not know the person who called me at that time but later I found that he was the head of the human resources department of the company and his name was Kane. I heard it in (…say a year i.g. 2017b…) and it was probably June.

My parents and relatives wanted me to get involved in a job right after my graduation and I felt the same. Some of my classmates were already doing jobs and I thought I should start a job as well. After I got the job confirmation call, I was very excited and happy. The first job confirmation, in my opinion, is very significant and exhilarating and I felt no less. I was so happy that I instantly confirmed that I’d be joining the job from the next week. Then I shared the news with my parents and sisters and they were very happy as well.

参考范文:

I’m going to tell you about a book I’ve been reading recently. The book is called The Man Who Mistook his Wife for a Hat.

It’s a slightly unusual book and I’m not sure how you would categorise it. In a way it’s a medical case history – or a collection of them. It’s written by a Professor of Neurology I think – he’s certainly not professional author. And it’s just the stories of some of the more unusual patients he’s treated. Each chapter is about a different patient. All of them have something wrong with their brain and think in a strange way. For instance, the character who gave his name to the title of the book cannot distinguish people from objects and actually did think his wife was a hat and tried to put her on his head!

I tend to read the book in the evenings or on the train in the morning. I like to read before I go to bed – I find it relaxing and it’s a quiet time when I can concentrate on what I’m reading. I suppose I read on the train for a different reason – there’s nothing else to do but look out of the window. The only problem is that the carriage is normally pretty noisy with other passengers talking and it’s much harder to concentrate.

This is actually the second time I’m reading the book. I first read it about 3 years ago and I enjoyed it so much I decided to read it again and it wouldn’t surprise me if I read it for a third time too.

Why do I like it so much? There’s plenty of reasons. It’s an intelligent book that makes you think. I enjoy books like that. I also prefer non-fiction to fiction as I think that’s more stimulating and I certainly prefer reading to watching the television.
