我较喜欢看历史及自然知识方面的书，故事类的书看得少一些，而《天使雕像》这本书则是个例外，因为它太精彩了，看过使我受益匪浅。

本书主要讲了这样一个故事：一对姐弟因厌倦了平凡普通、千篇一律的生活而离家出走。这次，他们来到纽约博物馆，看到了独一无二的“天使雕像”，为了寻找“天使雕像”的真实作者，他们东奔西走，引出了一串扑朔迷离、引人入胜的'故事情节。

按照常理，“天使雕像”的作者是谁和他们没有任何关系，但他们就为了自己心中的一个目标——找到作者，而去努力，坚持不懈地努力。这寻找的过程是困难的，中途几次三番地前途渺茫，几乎绝望。但他们迎难而上，怀着不抛弃、不放弃的精神，最终以难以想象的毅力和韧劲获得了成功。

在艰难的过程中，姐弟俩为了生计，表现出了他们不凡的经济头脑，这一点真的令人敬佩。而且，他们在戒备森严的博物馆中度过了近一个星期的“漂泊生活”，这可不是任何一个孩子可以做到的，说明他们的生活自理能力超强，值得我们学习。

我在今后的生活中，也要多干些力所能及的家务活，锻炼自己的生活自理能力，为将来住校生活打好基础，也为将来步入社会，更好地承担自己的责任打好基础。

懂得放弃，亦是生活的'最高境界，有舍才有得！生活亦是如此，要懂得放弃利益和贪婪的欲望，否则，我们会被压力和欲望压得喘不过气来。

有时候，放弃不一定只是失去，有时候会得到加倍的偿还！

经常有人说：坚持不懈，永不放弃。可我觉得，坚持固然是一条走向成功的捷径，那么放弃又何尝不是呢？当然，放弃不可能成为不思进取的人走向成功的捷径。生活不拒绝放弃，成功不拒绝放弃！

那样，他们会永远活着，即使只是在我们的心里。
